Submit Your Angel

Submit Your Angel to the National Angel Quilt for Childhood Cancer

We would be honored to include your precious angel on the quilt and be able to help perpetuate their memory.
We would love to feature as many angels as possible on the quilt to honor all these amazing children who never gave up, and never lost their faith, hope, courage and love. It’s our way of honoring all our friends who have earned their wings because of childhood cancer, and honor their families too-- because this loss is greater than anyone can imagine.  The National Angel Quilt for Childhood Cancer is also a way to demonstrate that kid's cancer is not so rare, and that not all kids get to grow up and live "happily-ever-after."  We share all the angels with the country so they can meet all these incredible, beautiful, and brave kids.

There is no cost to families to add their angels, Malcolm's mom, Julie, pays out of her own pocket to cover the cost of producing and mailing each child's panel.

Who Qualifies to be on "The National Angel Quilt for Childhood Cancer?"

-Only children from the US or who were US citizens living abroad.
-Only children who were diagnosed with a childhood cancer, and passed either from the cancer itself, or from issues related to the cancer and/or treatments.

If your Angel meets the criteria above, here are some other guidelines to know:

-images/photos of the angel are required to be on the quilt.
-any child diagnosed with cancer prior to the age of 21
-any US child lost to cancer, regardless of how long ago they passed.
-any person diagnosed with a "childhood cancer" at any age, (eg. Neuroblastoma, Ewing's sarcoma-- as these are considered childhood cancers no matter the age of diagnosis)

How the process works:

Step 1: Complete and Submit the form below
Step 2: Once we receive your completed form, we will send you a confirmation and information about an optional 250 word bio for your Angel.
A note about images: we will be looking to use the one with the best quality image possible. Be sure to look for images that are no less than 150KB in size. If you’re having trouble finding digital images larger than 150KB please contact us for alternative suggestions.
Step 3: We review your submission, edit the images, transfer your Angel's image to fabric and make their quilt panel.
Step 4: Your Angel's panel is personalized either by you & your family/friends, or by us-- as you choose.
Step 5:  Your Angel's panel is returned to Make Some Noise and sewn into the quilt to be honored forever.
Step 6: Your angel is added to the website, (along with the option bio if you choose to send one).

If you would like to add your angel to the national quilt, please complete this online submission form below which will ask for some personal information about you and your angel, and you can upload three of your favorite images of your angel.

You will have a later opportunity to send us a brief bio about your Angel and include any/all information you wish to share publically.

Personalizing Your Angel’s Panel:

Families have the option of personalizing their Angel’s panel themselves, or declining and having us personalize it for you.  For some parents it is just too difficult a task to manage emotionally, for others it is an opportunity for families to put their love on their Angel’s panel and even find it cathartic.

Should you decide to personalize your child’s panel please know that Malcolm’s mom, Julie pays out of her own pocket to cover the cost of producing and mailing panels, and in all good faith and fairness to your angel’s memory, to Julie, and to those who would meet your child on the quilt, do your best to return it within a few weeks.  If you find it too difficult once you receive the panel—please send it back and we can still personalize it for you and be able to include your child on the National Angel Quilt.

(Make Some Noise will be in touch with you to see if you have any additional special instructions, or need help with ideas)
