"HOPE" Pendant

ANNOUNCING THE 2010
AWARENESS DESIGN CONTEST WINNER:

THE "HOPE" PENDANT
Designer: Bethany, age 7, Leukemia

Each year, the foundation hosts a jewelry design contest, in which children with cancer are invited to submit their designs for a piece of jewelry to be sold to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer.  This year's design winner is 7-year-old Bethany Ciccarelli, who is fighting Leukemia.

Bethany's design was selected as this year's winner because of the simplicity and purity of her concept.  Bethany explained her design by says that the circles around the pendant represent the angels watching over all the children with cancer, and that she put the word "hope" in the center, "because we all have hope."

Bethany's design was faithfully recreated in sterling silver and hangs on an 18" sterling silver box chain.   The back of the pendant features a child's handprint and the foundations name and website address.
